Responsibilities
- Electrical Installation: Perform the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment in residential and commercial settings.
- Code Compliance: Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC) and safety regulations.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to plan layouts and wire structures effectively.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve electrical faults and system failures efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Client Interaction: Provide exceptional customer service by explaining technical issues and solutions to clients in a clear manner.
- Safety Protocols: Adhere to strict safety protocols to protect yourself, your team, and the property.
- Tool Management: Maintain and inspect tools and equipment to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician license required for the state of Virginia.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of verifiable experience in the electrical trade.
- Education: High school diploma or GED; vocational or technical training in electrical work is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in residential, commercial, and industrial wiring; knowledge of circuit breakers, transformers, and control systems.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work in various environments, including heights, confined spaces, and outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Driver's License: Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
