Responsibilities
- Install and maintain electrical systems, wiring, and fixtures in accordance with local and national electrical codes.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on commercial and residential electrical equipment.
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to determine the layout and wiring of electrical systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults, circuit breakers, and wiring issues efficiently and safely.
- Ensure all work is completed within budget and strictly adheres to project timelines.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, complying with OSHA safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and team members regarding project status.
Qualifications
- Valid New York State Journeyman Electrician License required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in residential and commercial electrical installation and repair.
- Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
- Basic computer literacy for logging work hours and reporting.
