Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures according to relevant codes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to determine optimal installation locations.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues to minimize downtime.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations.
- Mentor junior electricians and apprentices as needed.
- Document all work orders and material usage accurately.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician License in the State of Illinois.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in commercial or industrial electrical work.
- Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions.
