Job Summary
Perform a variety of electrical installation, maintenance, and repair tasks in residential and commercial settings. You will be responsible for ensuring that all work meets local and national electrical codes while maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to determine layout and installation.
- Ensure all electrical systems are installed and functioning according to the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local ordinances.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability and safety.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Collaborate with project managers and team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain technical issues and provide solutions.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license in the state of Virginia.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in residential and commercial electrical work.
- Thorough knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable transportation and a valid Driverβs License with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to pass a background check and drug screen.
