Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair complex electrical systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout.
- Ensure all wiring and equipment installations comply with local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults and malfunctions efficiently.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance inspections to ensure system longevity and safety.
- Train and mentor apprentice electricians on proper techniques and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to meet project timelines.
Qualifications
- Valid Washington State Journeyman Electrician License.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in commercial and residential electrical work.
- Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local Seattle building codes.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Ability to operate power tools, test meters, and diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting, climbing, and work in various weather conditions.
