Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradespeople with site preparation, excavation, and material handling
- Safely operate hand tools (hammers, saws, drills) and light machinery
- Maintain clean and organized job sites per safety protocols
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment
- Follow verbal instructions from supervisors to complete tasks
- Participate in daily safety briefings and toolbox meetings
- Support various construction phases (framing, roofing, finishing)
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience required
- Must be physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and standing for 8+ hours
- Valid state ID or driver's license required
- Reliable transportation to job sites within Illinois
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic understanding of English for safety communications
