Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on complex industrial electrical systems, including motors, transformers, and control panels.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation and repair.
- Conduct electrical inspections to ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC).
- Respond to emergency breakdowns during the night shift with minimal downtime.
- Install, connect, and test electrical systems, wiring, and fixtures.
- Maintain accurate logs and reports of work performed and parts used.
- Ensure all work areas are clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License required for the State of Texas.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial or industrial electrical work.
- Must be available to work rotating night shifts (typically 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Strong knowledge of NFPA 70E safety standards and OSHA regulations.
- Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment and power tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
