Responsibilities
- Perform residential and commercial plumbing repairs including leak detection, pipe repair, and fixture installation.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of water supply, waste, and venting systems.
- Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors using hand and power tools.
- Assemble, install, and test pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, and water heaters using hand and power tools.
- Inspect plumbing systems for safety and compliance with local codes and regulations.
- Maintain tools and equipment to ensure they are in safe working condition.
- Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with clients regarding project timelines and requirements.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman or Master Plumber License issued by the District of Columbia.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional plumbing experience.
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and national plumbing codes.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings and blueprints.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and work in tight spaces.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
