Responsibilities
- Execute excavation, grading, and earthmoving operations under supervisor guidance
- Handle material handling, loading/unloading trucks, and inventory management
- Operate light machinery (compactors, saws, drills) with proper certifications
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and site-specific hazard controls
- Assist carpenters and masons with site preparation and cleanup
- Complete daily progress reports and equipment maintenance logs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during night-shift handovers
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction labor experience or equivalent training
- Valid Louisiana driver's license and reliable transportation
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather
- Basic math skills for material calculations and inventory
- Flexible availability for 6 PM - 2 AM shifts (Monday-Friday)
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Preferred: Forklift certification or concrete finishing experience
