Responsibilities
- Excavate, load, and transport construction materials using heavy machinery and hand tools
- Operate jackhammers, saws, and other power equipment safely during night operations
- Assist carpenters and masons with layout, framing, and finishing tasks
- Implement strict OSHA safety protocols for night shift environments
- Perform site cleanup and debris removal to maintain productivity standards
- Collaborate with cross-trade crews on complex underground utility projects
- Monitor material inventory and requisition supplies for overnight operations
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction or heavy labor experience required
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain immediately
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds repeatedly and work in confined spaces
- Valid California driver's license with clean record
- Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Experience operating skid steers and trenchers preferred
- Reliable transportation to pre-dawn job sites throughout Sacramento County
- Ability to work independently in low-visibility conditions
