Responsibilities
- Assist in site preparation, excavation, and material handling operations
- Operate construction equipment (forklifts, jackhammers, power tools) safely and efficiently
- Load/unload construction materials and maintain organized storage areas
- Perform concrete work including pouring, finishing, and form setup
- Adhere to strict OSHA safety protocols and site-specific procedures
- Collaborate with tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) for seamless workflow
- Complete daily equipment maintenance and safety inspections
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of construction/labor experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Portland metro
- Basic math skills for material calculations and measurements
- Flexibility to work in all weather conditions during night hours
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
