Responsibilities
- Execute precise site preparation including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate heavy machinery (bobcats, forklifts, power tools) with OSHA certification
- Install and remove construction scaffolding, safety barriers, and temporary structures
- Maintain clean, organized work zones and comply with all safety protocols
- Assist skilled tradesmen (carpenters, masons, welders) with material prep and layout
- Perform night shift inspections and report maintenance needs to supervisors
- Adhere to project timelines and adjust workflows for weather/traffic constraints
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years commercial construction experience
- OSHA 10/30 certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme conditions
- Basic blueprint reading and measurement proficiency
- Strong communication skills for shift handovers and team coordination
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Preferred: Forklift certification or welding experience
