Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites through debris removal, grading, and material staging
- Operate power tools (jackhammers, saws, drills) and heavy machinery under supervision
- Load/unload materials and equipment safely using proper rigging techniques
- Assist skilled tradesmen with concrete pouring, framing, and finishing tasks
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols and site cleanliness
- Complete daily inspection reports and equipment maintenance logs
- Collaborate with crew leads to optimize workflow and productivity
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months construction or heavy labor experience
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (training provided)
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Houston metro
- Flexible availability for overnight shifts (6 PM - 6 AM)
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Basic math skills for material measurement and inventory
