Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial/residential buildings during night shifts
- Read blueprints and technical schematics to ensure code-compliant installations
- Diagnose electrical faults using advanced diagnostic tools and troubleshooting techniques
- Coordinate with project managers and team leads for seamless shift transitions
- Perform emergency repairs during critical power outages
- Document all work activities and maintain safety compliance records
- Train junior electricians on best practices and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid District of Columbia Electrician License (Journeyman/Master)
- Minimum 3 years of commercial/residential electrical experience
- OSHA 30-hour certification and NFPA 70E training
- Proficiency with conduit bending, wire pulling, and circuit troubleshooting
- Ability to work independently in low-visibility conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills under pressure
- Flexibility to work weekends and overtime as needed
