Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial buildings and residential properties
- Perform emergency service calls during night hours with rapid response protocols
- Interpret blueprints and technical schematics for complex electrical projects
- Ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations
- Train apprentices on safety procedures and technical best practices
- Conduct system diagnostics using advanced testing equipment
- Document all maintenance and repair activities in digital logs
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of commercial/residential electrical experience
- Valid District of Columbia Journeyman Electrician license
- OSHA 30-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Proficiency with conduit bending, transformers, and VFD systems
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure night shift environments
- Clean driving record and reliable transportation
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Availability to work flexible night schedules (6 PM - 6 AM)
