Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial/residential buildings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Perform diagnostic testing and troubleshooting of complex electrical issues
- Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and local DC electrical codes
- Lead emergency response for critical power outages and system failures
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed and materials used
- Mentor junior technicians on advanced electrical techniques
Qualifications
- Valid DC Journeyman or Master Electrician license
- Minimum 5 years commercial/residential electrical experience
- Proven expertise with low/high voltage systems and PLC controls
- OSHA 30 certification and CPR/First Aid training
- Advanced diagnostic skills using Fluke meters and insulation testers
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure environments
- Flexibility for extended night shifts and weekend availability
- Strong knowledge of DC permitting and inspection processes
