Responsibilities
- Perform site preparation including excavation, grading, and debris removal
- Assist carpenters and masons with material handling and tool setup
- Operate basic equipment like jackhammers, saws, and concrete mixers
- Follow strict safety protocols and maintain clean job sites
- Read blueprints and execute tasks per supervisor instructions
- Load/unload construction materials safely and efficiently
- Assist in demolition and renovation tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months construction labor or related experience
- Valid OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic tool operation knowledge (hammers, saws, drills)
- Strong attention to detail and safety compliance
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Austin
- Ability to work weekends and flexible shifts
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
