Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, leveling ground, and setting up temporary structures.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and organize construction materials, tools, and equipment efficiently.
- General Labor: Perform a variety of manual tasks under the direction of foremen or skilled tradespeople, including digging, carrying, and lifting.
- Machinery Operation: Safely operate heavy machinery and power tools (e.g., forklifts, jackhammers) as required and trained.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to OSHA safety regulations, wearing all required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times.
- Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized job site to ensure safety and efficiency for the entire team.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with team members and supervisors regarding project needs and progress.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in construction or general labor is preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training provided.
- Physical Requirements: Must be physically fit, able to lift 50+ lbs, and perform tasks that require standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
- License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.
- Safety Mindset: A strong commitment to workplace safety and following protocols.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends or evenings if project demands.
