Responsibilities
- Assist with site preparation, including digging, loading, and unloading construction materials.
- Operate basic construction equipment and hand tools (hammers, saws, levels) safely and efficiently.
- Follow all OSHA safety regulations and site protocols to ensure a hazard-free environment.
- Perform general cleanup duties, including debris removal and maintaining a tidy worksite.
- Support skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians) with various tasks as assigned by the foreman.
- Transport materials to and from the job site using heavy machinery or hand trucks.
- Read and interpret basic blueprints or work orders when necessary.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred (or equivalent work experience).
- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy objects (50+ lbs) repeatedly.
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Basic knowledge of construction safety standards and practices.
- Reliable transportation to and from the job site.
- Ability to work well in a team and follow verbal instructions.
- Valid Driver’s License is a plus.
