Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair residential and commercial electrical systems, including wiring, fixtures, and control equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to determine the layout of wiring and equipment.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure electrical systems are operating safely and efficiently.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes (NEC) and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain technical issues and provide cost estimates.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman or Apprentice Electrician license in the State of California.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in electrical work.
- Strong knowledge of electrical theory, circuits, and wiring standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.
