Responsibilities
- Assist Senior Technicians: Support journeyman plumbers with residential and commercial repairs, installations, and maintenance projects under close supervision.
- Learn Pipe Fitting & Assembly: Master the art of cutting, threading, and joining copper, PVC, and PEX piping systems.
- Drain Cleaning & Maintenance: Assist in the use of augers, hydro-jets, and snakes to clear blockages and ensure proper flow.
- Tool Management: Learn to identify, use, and maintain hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Customer Service: Interact with clients to explain job progress, answer basic questions, and maintain a professional appearance.
- Job Site Cleanup: Ensure all work areas are clean, safe, and free of debris after every shift.
- Code Compliance: Study and apply local plumbing codes and safety regulations during all tasks.
Qualifications
- No Experience Required: This is an entry-level position designed for eager learners with a passion for the trades.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs), work in tight spaces, and stand for long periods.
- Valid Driver’s License: Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to commute to various job sites.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfortable with measurements, fractions, and basic arithmetic for accurate cutting and fitting.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: Willingness to troubleshoot basic issues and ask questions to learn the craft.
- Work History: Demonstrated reliability and a strong work ethic from previous jobs or volunteer work.
