Responsibilities
- Assist licensed journeyman plumbers with installation, repair, and maintenance of residential and commercial plumbing systems.
- Learn to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply systems, and waste and drainage systems.
- Perform basic pipe fitting, including cutting, threading, and joining copper, PVC, and other piping materials.
- Transport materials and tools to job sites and keep work areas clean and organized.
- Perform basic site preparation, including excavation and shoring, under supervision.
- Follow all safety protocols and company guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation are required.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating material needs.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to learn.
