Responsibilities
- Architect and lead quantum-AI hybrid systems for 2026 deployment roadmap
- Direct research in quantum machine learning algorithms and error correction protocols
- Collaborate with hardware teams to optimize quantum-AI co-design architectures
- Publish peer-reviewed papers and present findings at premier conferences
- Secure $5M+ in research grants through NSF and DARPA partnerships
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and PhD candidates in quantum computing
- Develop ethical frameworks for quantum-AI deployment in critical infrastructure
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years leading quantum-AI research projects with published breakthroughs
- Expertise in quantum algorithms, Q# programming, and cloud quantum platforms
- Proven track record of securing federal research grants ($1M+)
- Deep knowledge of tensor networks and quantum neural network architectures
- Experience with superconducting quantum processors and trapped-ion systems
- Strong background in AI ethics and responsible AI development
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts into stakeholder communications
