Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for 2026-era computational problems
- Develop error-corrected qubit architectures with >99.9% fidelity targets
- Lead cross-functional prototyping teams for quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure $2M+ in government/industry research grants annually
- Mentor PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers in quantum theory
- Contribute to quantum security standards for national infrastructure
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (2020 or later)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with superconducting qubit systems
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC, etc.)
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, etc.)
- Experience with cryogenic quantum hardware integration
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research funding
- Strong background in topological quantum computing
