Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair complex electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute installations accurately.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure strict code compliance and safety.
- Lead a team of junior electricians, providing mentorship, technical guidance, and quality control.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults efficiently to minimize downtime and operational disruptions.
- Ensure all work meets the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local jurisdiction requirements.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license in the District of Columbia.
- Minimum of 5 years of verifiable experience in commercial electrical work.
- Proficiency in using test equipment such as multimeters, voltage detectors, and thermal imaging cameras.
- Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
- Certification in OSHA 30 or equivalent safety training.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
