Responsibilities
- Perform high-voltage and low-voltage electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance on commercial and industrial sites.
- Interpret blueprints and technical diagrams to plan layouts and circuitry.
- Ensure all work complies with OSHA standards, the National Electrical Code (NEC), and local building codes.
- Mentor and train apprentice electricians, providing guidance on techniques and safety protocols.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex electrical systems efficiently and safely.
- Conduct routine inspections of electrical equipment to identify potential hazards or maintenance needs.
- Estimate material requirements and costs for projects, adhering to budget constraints.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License in the State of New York.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in commercial and industrial electrical work.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Strong knowledge of electrical theory, circuitry, and power distribution systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various environments, including heights and confined spaces.
- Current forklift certification is a plus.
