Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis to identify disruptive technologies and paradigm shifts impacting 2026+ landscapes
- Develop and execute strategic innovation frameworks integrating quantum computing, biotechnology, and AI convergence
- Champion 'future-back' scenario planning with C-suite executives and global partners
- Drive cross-functional initiatives to prototype and scale breakthrough solutions
- Establish thought leadership through whitepapers, patents, and industry keynotes
- Mentor innovation teams on adaptive strategy and exponential thinking methodologies
- Secure $5M+ annual R&D budget for future-focused experimental projects
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic foresight, innovation management, or emerging technology leadership
- Proven track record of translating future trends into commercialized innovations
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum computing, synthetic biology, AGI ethics, or climate tech
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry forums
- Experience with scenario planning tools and strategic foresight methodologies (e.g., Delphi, STEEP analysis)
- Exceptional communication skills for influencing stakeholders across technical and non-technical domains
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ major innovations brought to market
