Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair residential and commercial plumbing systems, including water heaters, drain lines, and gas lines.
- Install and maintain new plumbing fixtures, piping, and appliances according to local codes and manufacturer specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics to plan pipe layouts.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections to prevent system failures and ensure optimal performance.
- Provide exceptional customer service, including explaining repairs and costs clearly to clients.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
- Train and mentor junior apprentices and plumbing assistants.
Qualifications
- Valid Illinois Journeyman or Master Plumber License is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in commercial and residential plumbing.
- Strong knowledge of local plumbing codes and regulations.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 75 lbs) and work in tight or confined spaces.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
