Responsibilities
- Prepare construction sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and organizing materials
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) safely and efficiently
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other skilled trades with material handling and task support
- Read and interpret blueprints to execute construction plans accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and adhere to OSHA safety standards
- Perform site cleanup, waste disposal, and equipment maintenance duties
- Complete daily timecards and safety documentation promptly
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of construction labor experience or trade school certification
- Valid OSHA 10-hour construction safety certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction terminology
- Reliable transportation to project sites across DC metro area
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
