Responsibilities
- Perform site preparation, excavation, and material handling using heavy machinery and hand tools
- Assist carpenters, masons, and other trades with layout, framing, and finishing tasks
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and project specifications
- Operate equipment including forklifts, excavators, and power tools with proper certifications
- Maintain clean and organized job sites while adhering to environmental regulations
- Read blueprints and technical drawings to execute precise construction tasks
- Participate in daily safety briefings and quality control inspections
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on construction experience in commercial/residential settings
- OSHA 30-hour certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Proficiency with power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and measurement equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade school certification preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as project demands require
