Responsibilities
- Execute construction tasks including excavation, framing, concrete pouring, and finishing work
- Operate heavy machinery safely including forklifts, excavators, and power tools
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and maintain clean job sites
- Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
- Assist skilled tradesmen (carpenters, masons, electricians) with material handling
- Complete daily equipment inspections and maintenance checks
- Participate in project planning meetings and progress updates
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of commercial/residential construction experience
- OSHA 10/30 certification or willingness to obtain
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Proficiency with hand/power tools and construction machinery
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screening
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
