Responsibilities
- Execute construction tasks including excavation, material handling, and site preparation
- Operate heavy machinery (forklifts, excavators) with proper certifications
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and project specifications
- Assist skilled trades (carpenters, masons) with material staging and cleanup
- Inspect work areas for hazards and maintain organized job sites
- Complete daily equipment maintenance checks and reporting
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years commercial construction experience
- Valid OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification
- Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment operation skills
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- NYC DOB Site Safety Training (SST) card required
