Responsibilities
- Execute precise excavation, grading, and earthwork operations per blueprints
- Install and dismantle scaffolding, temporary structures, and safety barriers
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, forklifts, power tools) with OSHA certification
- Prepare job sites, manage materials inventory, and maintain clean work zones
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and NYC building regulations
- Collaborate with tradesmen (carpenters, electricians) for seamless project execution
- Perform daily equipment inspections and preventative maintenance
Qualifications
- 3+ years commercial construction experience with verifiable references
- OSHA 30-hour certification and valid NYC DOB Site Safety Training
- Proficiency in operating heavy machinery (excavator, skid steer, forklift)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- High school diploma or equivalent with math aptitude
- Valid driver's license and clean MVR record
- Flexible schedule including overtime and weekend availability
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
