Apex Building Solutions is currently seeking a dedicated Construction Laborer to join our dynamic team in Charlotte, North Carolina. We specialize in commercial and residential projects and are looking for individuals who take pride in their craftsmanship and safety standards.
As a Laborer on our weekend crew, you will play a crucial role in our daily operations, supporting skilled tradespeople and ensuring our projects are completed on time and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up scaffolding or staging areas.
- Material Handling: Transport, load, and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual labor.
- Assist Trades: Support carpenters, electricians, and plumbers with basic tasks, including measuring, cutting, and assisting with framing or drywall.
- Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA safety regulations.
- Observation: Observe and report any safety hazards or structural issues to the Site Supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in construction labor or skilled trades is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
- Safety: Must have a strong commitment to safety and possess basic knowledge of construction site safety protocols.
- Physical Demands: Ability to perform physical labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and working in various weather conditions.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) consistently.
- Tools: Basic hand tool knowledge is a plus.
