Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters and masons with material handling, site preparation, and structural assembly
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) and heavy equipment (forklifts, excavators)
- Load/unload construction materials and maintain organized job sites
- Follow OSHA safety protocols and conduct daily equipment inspections
- Read blueprints and technical drawings to execute tasks accurately
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; trade school certification a plus
- Valid driverâs license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days)
- Basic knowledge of construction materials and tools
- Strong communication skills and commitment to workplace safety
