Responsibilities
- Execute physical construction tasks including excavation, material handling, and site preparation
- Operate power tools and heavy machinery safely and efficiently
- Assist skilled tradespersons with carpentry, masonry, and framing work
- Maintain strict adherence to OSHA safety protocols and site regulations
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment
- Perform site cleanup and debris management
- Read and interpret basic blueprints and project specifications
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of construction labor experience required
- Valid OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain immediately
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and construction equipment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Detroit metro
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
