Responsibilities
- Execute site preparation tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Assist carpenters, masons, and equipment operators with project-specific duties
- Maintain clean, safe work environments by organizing tools and debris
- Read and interpret basic construction plans and safety protocols
- Operate hand/power tools (saws, drills, jackhammers) under supervision
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and report hazards immediately
- Complete daily progress reports and time tracking accurately
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year construction labor experience preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly and work in extreme weather
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Basic math skills for material measurements
- Availability for 6 AM - 5 PM shifts with weekend flexibility
- Fluent English communication (Spanish a plus)
