Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradesmen with material handling, site preparation, and cleanup operations
- Operate basic hand/power tools (hammers, saws, drills) under direct supervision
- Follow strict OSHA safety protocols and maintain organized job sites
- Load/un construction materials and equipment using proper lifting techniques
- Read and interpret basic construction plans and supervisor instructions
- Perform trenching, excavation support, and scaffolding setup assistance
- Participate in daily toolbox meetings and safety briefings
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record preferred
- Willingness to obtain OSHA 10 certification (company-provided)
- Basic math skills for measuring and material estimation
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Chicagoland
- Drug-free commitment and pre-employment screening compliance
- No experience required – training provided for motivated candidates
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings and weekends
