Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from job sites efficiently.
- Site Preparation: Prepare job sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and setting up scaffolding under supervision.
- Assisting Trades: Provide general support to skilled tradespeople, including carpenters, electricians, and masons.
- Equipment Operation: Operate heavy machinery, forklifts, and power tools safely and according to safety protocols.
- Site Maintenance: Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with OSHA safety standards.
- Measurement & Layout: Assist in measuring and marking areas for excavation and construction activities.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) for extended periods.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to job sites.
- Availability: Ability to work full-time hours, including early mornings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Communication: Basic English communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Reliability: A strong work ethic and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Experience: Prior construction or general labor experience is preferred but not required.
