Responsibilities
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from the job site efficiently.
- Site Assistance: Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, etc.) with various manual tasks, including digging, lifting, and cleaning.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate basic construction machinery and hand tools under supervision.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company protocols to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Site Maintenance: Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of debris to ensure smooth operations.
- Blueprint Reading (Basic): Understand and follow basic site instructions and layout markers.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred; a trade school background is a plus.
- License: Valid driver's license and a clean driving record required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Experience: Previous construction experience is preferred but not mandatory for immediate hires.
- Attitude: Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive team-oriented attitude.
- Tools: Basic knowledge of construction tools is helpful.
