Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Assist in the preparation of construction sites, including clearing debris and leveling ground.
- Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites safely and efficiently.
- Equipment Operation: Operate basic construction tools and equipment, such as jackhammers, saws, and forklifts (certified operators preferred).
- Site Cleanup: Maintain a clean and organized job site by sweeping, digging, and removing waste materials.
- Blueprint Reading: Interpret basic blueprints and diagrams to understand project requirements.
- Assistance: Provide support to skilled tradespeople, such as carpenters, electricians, and plumbers, as needed.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) repeatedly and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Experience: Prior experience in construction labor, landscaping, or general handyman work is highly preferred.
- Tools: Basic knowledge of construction tools and their safe operation.
- Documentation: Must possess a valid Driver's License and be eligible to work in the United States.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- Reliability: Punctual, dependable, and committed to working full-time hours.
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is a plus.
