Responsibilities
- Site Preparation: Prepare construction sites by clearing, digging, and leveling areas prior to the arrival of heavy machinery.
- Material Handling: Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment using forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
- Machinery Operation: Operate power tools, saws, and other construction equipment under supervision.
- Assembly & Demolition: Assist in the assembly of temporary structures, scaffolding, and demolition of existing structures.
- Site Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site by removing debris and waste regularly.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all OSHA safety regulations and company policies to ensure a hazard-free environment.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with foremen and team members regarding project needs and safety concerns.
Qualifications
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift 50+ lbs repeatedly and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Reliability: Strong track record of punctuality and attendance.
- Experience: Previous construction labor experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Communication Skills: Basic ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Teamwork: Willingness to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Safety Mindset: Prior experience with safety gear (hard hats, boots, vests) is a plus.
