Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and government facilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications
- Ensure strict compliance with NEC and DC electrical codes
- Diagnose electrical issues using advanced testing equipment
- Supervise junior electricians and coordinate project timelines
- Manage inventory and order necessary materials for projects
- Document work orders and maintain safety compliance records
Qualifications
- Valid District of Columbia Journeyman Electrician license (mandatory)
- 5+ years of commercial electrical installation experience
- OSHA 30-hour certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
- Proficiency in conduit bending, motor controls, and VFD systems
- Strong knowledge of DC electrical codes and regulations
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in confined spaces
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Pass federal background check for government projects
