Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain piping systems, fixtures, and heating and cooling equipment according to local codes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of piping systems.
- Locate and diagnose leaks or other plumbing problems and determine the best method for repair.
- Perform quality inspections on completed work to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding project timelines and specific requirements.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including the proper disposal of waste materials.
Qualifications
- Valid Journeyman or Master Plumber License in the District of Columbia.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial and residential plumbing.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong knowledge of local plumbing codes and regulations.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in confined spaces.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
