Responsibilities
- Execute excavation, grading, and earthwork operations with precision
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, bulldozers, forklifts) with proper certifications
- Assist carpenters and masons in structural assembly tasks
- Install and remove temporary safety barriers and construction signage
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment safely
- Perform site cleanup and waste management per EPA standards
- Adhere strictly to OSHA safety protocols and project blueprints
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of commercial construction experience
- Valid Louisiana driver's license and reliable transportation
- OSHA 10-Hour Construction certification required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
- Experience with hand/power tools and heavy machinery operation
- Drug-free workplace - pre-employment screening required
- Strong work ethic and punctuality mandatory
