Responsibilities
- Excavate, lift, and transport construction materials using hand/power tools
- Operate heavy machinery under certified supervision (bulldozers, forklifts)
- Install temporary structures and safety barriers on job sites
- Perform site cleanup and debris removal to maintain OSHA compliance
- Assist skilled tradesmen with concrete, framing, and finishing tasks
- Complete daily safety inspections and report hazards immediately
- Adhere to strict project timelines and supervisor instructions
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months construction/labor experience preferred
- OSHA 10-hour certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 75+ pounds repeatedly in varying conditions
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Reliable transportation to job sites across Charlotte metro
- Flexible availability for overnight shifts (6 PM - 6 AM)
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic math skills for material calculations
