Responsibilities
- Execute excavation, demolition, and site preparation tasks
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, bulldozers) with precision
- Install and remove scaffolding, safety nets, and temporary structures
- Maintain clean, organized job sites following OSHA standards
- Assist skilled tradesmen with material handling and equipment setup
- Participate in daily safety briefings and toolbox meetings
- Complete daily equipment maintenance logs and incident reports
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years commercial construction experience
- Valid OSHA 10/30 certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Class B CDL license preferred
- Ability to lift 75 lbs repeatedly and work in extreme weather
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of NYC construction permits and regulations
- Basic blueprint reading skills
- Strong teamwork and communication abilities
