Responsibilities
- Execute site preparation tasks including excavation, grading, and material handling
- Operate heavy machinery (excavators, bulldozers, forklifts) with proper safety protocols
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and project specifications
- Install construction materials (concrete, steel, drywall) according to industry standards
- Maintain clean, organized job sites and adhere to OSHA regulations
- Assist skilled tradesmen (carpenters, electricians, plumbers) as needed
- Complete daily progress reports and safety checklists
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of construction labor experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of power tools and construction equipment
- Flexibility to work weekends and overtime during critical project phases
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Spanish/English bilingual preferred
