Responsibilities
- Assist skilled tradesmen with various construction tasks including material handling, site preparation, and cleanup
- Operate basic hand tools and equipment under supervision (e.g., shovels, wheelbarrows, saws)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment following OSHA standards
- Load/unload construction materials and equipment at job sites
- Follow precise instructions from supervisors to ensure project specifications are met
- Participate in physical tasks requiring stamina, such as digging, lifting, and carrying materials
- Report safety hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately to site supervisors
Qualifications
- No prior construction experience required – full training provided
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Valid driver's license preferred (not mandatory)
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings and weekends
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety protocols
- Basic math skills for material measurements and inventory
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the day
