Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters and masons with material handling and site preparation
- Operate basic hand/power tools under supervision (hammers, saws, drills)
- Perform site cleanup and debris removal using wheelbarrows and shovels
- Follow strict OSHA safety protocols on active construction sites
- Read basic blueprints and measurements for material placement
- Assist in setting up temporary safety barriers and signage
- Participate in daily toolbox safety meetings
Qualifications
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn physical skills
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout shift
- Valid driver's license (required for equipment operation training)
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- No prior experience necessary – we provide paid training
- Must have reliable transportation to job sites
